"But if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin." -1 John 1:7
If you are looking for profound wisdom or earth-shattering insight, you have stumbled across the wrong page. I am not an eloquent writer with a highly educated mind. I am a former high school coach turned gospel preacher who has a desire for all people to know God. I grew up in Northeast Arkansas in a Catholic home. At the age of 20 I began to question what I believed and began searching for truth. My journey led me down many paths, some of which I could tell very quickly were not the right direction. Along the way I met my wife, Libby, and it was with her guidance that I was able to find what I had been longing for.
What I offer on this site is information about my personal ministry as well as my preaching ministry with the Oldham Lane Church of Christ. Please refer to the blog. It is intended to provide food for though derived from personal observation and daily living that, I hope, may be of some help to all of us who are striving to follow in the footsteps of Jesus.
Thank you for visiting & may God bless you!

I am so blessed to be the Preaching Minister at the Oldham Lane Church of Christ in Abilene, TX. My family and I began working with this wonderful congregation in 2008. Oldham Lane was planted in 1995 by the Baker Heights congregation. About 75 people chose to become a part of this fledgling congregation. Brother Jimmy Jividen was the first preacher and Tim Appleton, Bob Childress and R.J. Poe were the first shepherds. Today, Oldham Lane is a vibrant and dynamic congregation of approximately 500 members.
I encourage you to check out our website at www.oldhamlanechurch.com and please come visit us whenever you are in the area.
